Technology Support
THE
TECHNOLOGY CENTER OF WUCHANG SHIPYARD, a national class
technology center, has imported and developed international
first class softwares, such as Finite Element Simulating
Analysis, Virtual Assembly, Workshop Materials Circulation
Emulation etc. and mastered the digital simutated analysis
technique on large scale structural steelworks and heavy
duty equipment. The center now is in a leading position
in Shipsection Construction and 3D Design in China Shipbuilding
Society.
As
a comprehensive developing, design and research institute
taking civil ships as its main product, the Technology
Center established General Marine Engineering Office and
specialized Hull Engineering Office, Mechnical Engineering
Office, Electrical Engineering Office etc. The Technology
Center has 561 technicians, of whom 173 are senior engineers,
40 are researchers, 20 national class specialists and
6 are Doctors. All designing personnel are skillful in
using various kinds of designing softwares.
The
Technology Center also provides technical services in
marine design consultation, prophase research demonstration,
quotation design, detail design and production design
etc.
Basic Design & Detail Design
The Technology Center spares no efforts in developing,
importing, application and enhancing CAD design capability,
and absorbing advanced two-dimension CAD and three-dimensional
design technologies, and has generated quite powerful
CAD design capability. The main designing softwares
adopted are as follows:
¡¤Finite element structural analysis -- ANSYS 5¡¢6¡¢7.1£¬MSC.NASTRN.V2001;
¡¤Hull profiles performance calculation -- Maxsurf;
¡¤Propulsion calculation -- Hydro comp;
¡¤Ocean rules system -- Compass-Rules
Successively,
the Technology Center has designed more than a hundred
of vessels in different types such large-size tourist
ships, oceangoing cargo ships, tugs, dredgers, product
oil carriers, surveillance ships, LPG carriers and large-size
cargo-passenger RO-RO ships etc. Since the beginnin
of the 80's of last century, the Technology Center has
joint-designed Anchor Handling/Tug/Supply vessels together
with oversea design companies. In recent years, it has
oriented its development and research on AHTS and PSV.
The Technology Center can have joint-design or independent
design.
Production
Design
3D Design: Through extensive consequent development
of 3D design software CADDS5, the Technology Center
has completed over 60 research subjects and established
its own application softwares for 3D design of Ship
Hull, Outfitting, Electrical etc. According to the integration
principle of Hull-Outfitting-Painting-In-One and Design-Fabrication-Management-In-One,
the Technology Center worked out a 3D production design
regulations and established a 3D Production Design System
with 3D design as measures and computer network as basis.
The Technology Center can carry out concurrent 3D production
designs on hull structure, machinery fitting, hull outfitting,
pipe fitting, interior decoration, eletrical installation
and painting for the whole vessel.
3D
Production Design has the following characteristics:
a) the latest ship design technology, if compared with
traditional construction design method, it is much more
rich in contents, better in visuality and can look through
the modules from different view angles;
b) High in design precision, easy in modifications and
advance in conflict inspection;
c) Able to carry out concurrent design and realization
of direct transformation from 3D modules to 2 dimensional
construction drawings;
d) Able to improve design quality and shorten design
and construction period.
e) With digital design, production design information
is provided via computer network for workshop production
and production management. The Center has realized 100%
NC cutting for ship hull components and members and
direct control of pipe benders by 3D design data for
pipe production.
