The arch centreline of Wuhan Fifth Han River Bridge is a catenary; the main arch ring comprises trusses formed by concrete-filled steel tube chord members and steel tube web members; the upper steel tube and the lower steel tube are connected with batten plates and filled with concrete; and the main span is 200 metres; the deck adopts reinforced concreted T-beam deck first simply supported and then continuous deck structure; the T-beam span is 6 metres. Fifth Han River Bridge has the second longest span among the bridges of its kind in China; the bridge was awarded with the “Huanghe Cup Gold Prize”, the highest prize for construction projects in Wuhan, and the “Chutian Cup Prize”, the highest prize for excellent projects in Hubei Province.
