Wuhan Junshan Yangtze River is a common bridge for two trunk roads spanning the Yangtze River, namely the Beijing-Zhuhai Motorway and the Shanghai-Chengdu Motorway; the deck is designed according to the standard of motorways having 6 lanes in each direction; its main span is 460 metres, its main pylon is 163.5 metres high, and the deck of its main bridge is 38.8 metres wide, and the bridge has the widest deck among the bridges constructed or in progress in China. It was awarded with the Fourth Zhan Tianyou Civil Engineering Prize, and “Lu Ban Prize” for architecture in China in 2005.
