Yangsigang Yangtze River Bridge, a key project of Wuhan, is 4,134 metres long; its steel structures weigh about 50,000 tons. Being a single-span double-deck, all welded steel truss suspension bridge, it is the first double-deck highway bridge in Wuhan, and the largest double-deck suspension bridge in the world. Its main span is 1700 metres, and ranks first among the bridges of its kind in China and second in the world.
