The Fuchun River lock expansion and retrofit project is located at the right bank of Fuchun River Hydropower Station in Tonglu County, midstream and downstream of the Qiantang River; it is about 110 kilometers from Hangzhou downstream, and the largest lock with the greatest drop in Zhejiang. The Company undertook the fabrication and installation of gates, valves, and hoists; the project comprises 2 miter gates, 4 reverse radial gates, 8 access valves, 1 lowering gate, 3 lifting-tilting type gates, 1 access door, and lifts for gates and embedments of gates.

The in-factory fabrication of the Fuchun River Lock was completed in August 2015, now site installation is in progress, while there are many projects, it is pressed for time, and severely restricted by field conditions. To ensure the progress, the project department adopts 9-hour day and 4 teams work in parallel in light of the site installation conditions. In hurrying up the project, the Company does not lose control in safety and quality, and all the processes submitted pass inspection. Now, 90% of the embedments for gates and valves are completed, which meets the schedule requirement; it is expected that the lifting of miter gates will start late this month, and in the future, there will be more workload in the future 2 months.
